Publications on Attracting Talent: The Need for Foreign Scientists and Engineers
This Special Initiative of the Foundation seeks to help present policy options to increase the ability of the United States to attract scientists and engineers from other nations in order to prosper in an increasingly competitive global economy. The following publications describe our efforts and our partners’ efforts on this initiative: the “Attracting Talent” newsletter on policies affecting foreign scientists and engineers; periodic updates to this newsletter; and the report on the Merage/UCI National Leadership Forum on International Graduate Students in Science and Engineering and International Scientists and Engineers: A National Need and a National Opportunity (October 2005).
