American Dream Fellows

Every year, exceptional immigrant students at the Foundation’s Partner Universities apply to participate in the Merage American Dream Fellows program. Each Partner University nominates up to three candidates for the program. The Foundation selects Fellows based on their academic record, their leadership, their consistent ethical behavior, the clarity of their American Dream, and their potential to contribute importantly to America. Merage Fellows receive two-year stipends of $20,000 ($10,000 each year) to help them pursue their American Dream. The Foundation also provides Merage Fellows with strategic access to mentors and leaders in their chosen careers.

Applying for the American Dream Fellowships:

Immigrant students at Partner Universities who

• are citizens or permanent residents of the United States,
• are full-time students with senior class status, and
• will graduate between the December of their year of application and August of the following year

are eligible to apply. Nomination by Partner Universities and selection by the Foundation are premised on applicants’ academic record, their leadership, their consistent ethical behavior, the clarity of their American Dream, and their potential to contribute importantly to America. Please visit your financial aid office for an application and brochure. (Note: Students submit their applications to their university, which nominates up to three candidates for selection by the Foundation.
