The Merage Foundations are a group of three foundations: the Merage Foundation for the American Dream, the Merage Foundation for U.S.-Israel Trade, and CHILDREN FIRST—A Merage Foundation. The Merage Foundations also administer and support the Orange County Student Artists in Residence program.

The 2008-2009 American Dream Fellowship application is now available!
August 2008

Deadline for Invest in Children Grant Applications for funding in 2008 has been extended to Aug 31, 2008.
We are restructuring our review process and will be announcing awards in the fall of 2008. In the case of highly competitive applications, we will give priority to projects that include the involvement of retired volunteers in the proposed project. All applicants who have submitted applications by the previous deadline are welcome to revise and resubmit by the new August 31 deadline. We will consider the second application, if one is submitted.

The Merage Foundation for the American Dream has released its newest DVD, “The Mexican Immigration Experience” which chronicles the history of immigration to the United States from Mexico beginning with the founding of Santa Fe and Los Angeles, through the Mexican-American War, the Mexican Revolution, the vaqueros, railroad workers, and braceros, Operation Wetback, Cesar Chavez, IRCA and NAFTA, to the present day.
