The Merage Foundation for the American Dream was established in 2004 by Paul and Lilly Merage, both immigrants to the United States. In establishing this Foundation, they hope to help new Americans achieve their American Dream and contribute to America. Paul and Lilly Merage also hope to increase understanding of the positive impact that immigration has had on America. The Foundation inspires young immigrants to achieve their American Dream and become leaders in their communities and in the nation. It encourages Americans to recognize and celebrate immigrants’ contributions to the United States. It fosters nonpartisan discussion of key immigration issues facing the United States.

The Merage Foundation for U.S.-Israel Trade was created by Katherine, Paul, and Lilly Merage. The Foundation reflects their deep commitment to the economic health and wellbeing of Israel and their understanding of the reciprocal benefits associated with a strong U.S.-Israel economic partnership.

CHILDREN FIRST—A Merage Foundation was founded by Paul and Lilly Merage to help skilled retirees make a positive, meaningful contribution to the learning abilities and development of low-income children in Orange County. By bringing these two groups together, Paul and Lilly hope to expand developmental opportunities and enhance quality of life for low-income children.

The Orange County Student Artists in Residence Program reflects Paul and Lilly Merage’s commitment to extend opportunities for talented low- and moderate-income youngsters in Orange County who are interested in careers in the arts, including filmmaking, music, theatre, painting, sculpture, dance, and writing. In partnership with Chapman University and other institutions of higher learning, the program will provide two-week, intensive, on-campus living and education experiences in the arts for low- and moderate-income students.
